I still like the name Orichalcum Dragon a whole lot better than Orium.

The Breath Weapon turning into a minion sounds really cool. I'll have to throw one into a game at some point...

Cool art, cool fluff (Atlantis, orichalcum, :D), cool mechanics.

I like it.

I also like the fluff. It presents a metallic non-evil dragon who can not only be an adversary, but the BBEG if you're so inclined.

cool fluff (Atlantis

Is Atlantis specifically mentioned? I agree the fluff certainly evokes Atlantis, but I went looking for a specific mention of Atlantis Wink

Not specifically, but the orichalcum and lost civilizations references gave me plenty of Fate of Atlantis flashbacks.  :D

I gotta say, I really dig this visual design for some reason. Giant red snake dragons that create breath weapon snakes? Sign me on, baby!

Possibly my new favorite dragon.

Very nice looking, I wasn't that interested in the draconomicon 2 - but if the book as a whole is this interesting it bodes well.

Anyone else notice that bloodied breath allows it to have 2 serpent minions on the field at once. As long as the players can't kill them both on the same turn, the dragon can keep 2 out at once. Granted, it is normally not hard to kill 2 minions on the same turn (hey its something for the controller to do in a solo fight!), but I can see the dragon baiting the players with its serpents and keeping them far apart in order to get them killed one at a time in order to keep recharging its breath weapon.

I had noticed that one of the many reasons I like this new guy so much. I also like the look, and the whole obsession with history thing.

I wonder what the Dragon in the picture with the Vrocks is then.  It's definitely not an Orium.  It's probably a Steel or a Cobalt.

This is further evidence that we are getting 5 new Metallics, rather than just 3.  Awesomnitude.

My guess is steel, since I'm pretty sure the blue dragon from the Lairs preview is a cobalt dragon, witch looks nothing like whats fighting the vrocks, atleast not to me.

Dude, that dragon looks really cool! I can't wait to kill it, scale it and eat it!
