Primal Power Feats

What do you all think of the new feats in Primal Power?

They seem pretty cool, but the Hide Armor Expertise feat seems to nerf the Primal Guardian druid a bit (Primal Guardians can use their Con modifier instead of their Dex or Int mod if they're not wearing heavy armor, which they don't get anyway). Some would say PG druids still get their power bonuses and that's cool, and that's why I didn't say HAE nerfs the PG druid completely.

The feats that get better as more of your allies take those feats encourage the group as a whole to take those feats and encourages the group as a whole to discuss which feats they plan on taking, but it also leaves less room for the player to choose their own feats.

Let's hear some feedback on the new feats.

It doesn't nerf the classes that can use con instead of dex or int, they basically get a free feat, still not that fond of tha feat.

I'd hoped for support for Eberron races like Forgotten realms has gotten but I guess it's still too early.

The group feat are interesting, and a fun option, but not appealing for some classes.

Hide Armour Expertise is mainly so that Rageblood Barbarians and Protector Shaman don't lag behind in AC.  I do see it as making the Swarm Druid really powerful, since they can now get damage reduction and AC.

And I see Second Skin as making Hide armour wearing Shielding Swordmages Coronal Guards who multiclasses into any Primal Class have an even more ridiculous AC.

And another thing that occurred to me in that list is Thaneborn Barbarians still lack, unless they get something like "Add charisma mod to AC" or "all allies add cha mod to damage when you're raging" among the Barbarian only feats.

That's also not a complete list. I'm sure we'll see a few feats that help Thaneborn barbarians.

Strictly speaking, since it takes nothing away from the druid, it can't be a nerf.

Guardians were not totally overshadowed, although I agree that they got nerfed quite a bit. They're still best bet for a Caster-only druid, who NEVER goes into wildshape (rare, I know, but existent). They wouldn't benefit from Primal Swarm damage reduction AND would add Con to AC without needing to spend a feat. And since we're getting Summons in this book, I can see this type of druid being much more frequent (there isn't a new Class feature for summon druids, so they have to choose between the 3 of them).

It is a useless feat for Protector Shamans. Dual feat tax?? Bah! Shove another shard up the compactor, shall we?

Swordmages don't exactly need this feat, seeing as they already add their primary attack stat (INT) to thier AC already.

They might not need this feat, but it's the differance between an AC of 50 and 52.  Having 2 more points of AC is always preferrable even if it's not necessary.  In much the same way that they don't need to take Hide Armor Profciency or Hide Armor Specialization to begin with.

I bet Hide Armor Specialization and Second Skin won´t stack, otherwise the -1 acp reduction won´t make a lot of sense...

rageblood barbarian have a terrible will, AC and reflex if they go all out for Str and con making them very vulnerable to attacks vs AC and will which is very penalizing. With this feat they at least can have a decent AC...

In the end they pay a heavy feat tax to compensate for their very high AC. Don´t think its too imba. And it is definitively more stylish than see them run around in plate Armor.
