WotC swapped the release month of the two books a few months back. Looks like Amazon UK didn't get the memo.

Sorry that they can not chew bubble gum and walk at the same time. Maybe they could cut and paste from Amazon.com? It is sad that another company beats the company that has the product to the punch!

Nope. Amazon posts info as it receives it, not as WotC makes release announcements. It's not especially surprising, nor is it sad. It really doesn't affect anything. Why do you feel that it's sad?

Man, you just look for that dark cloud wherever you go, don't you? Talk about downbeat. Has it occurred to you that perhaps Wizards isn't at fault at all, and that maybe Amazon is posting info before it's supposed to?

But I also think that with the economy they might not have the staffing power to do it. I try not to have that dark cloud follow me around. Sometimes I'm a little too annoyed. Wotc can do things above and beyond, so when they fall short(in my opinion) I get annoyed. I still support them by buying their products. I have everything but Eberron, and I will be getting that later. Even though I do not like that setting. My hope is that 4th ed will continue to grow if supported. I still think that they can do more with their release info, but fall short unless they will be having a "Gameday" for that release.

FWIW, I think it would be pretty cool if they posted "Future Product Announcements" on the main page when the catalogue gets updated. It would be awesome for drawing attention to what's coming out in the future.

The downside of that is that WotC would look stupid when they changed the release schedule (which happens all the time in the publishing industry), rather than when Amazon posts stuff before they do.

Also, it's worth noting that if products are going to appear first somewhere, it might actually be better for Wizards if they did so on Amazon; that's where the sales come from.
