#1 squingynaut Jun 29, 2012 20:31:35	I get the impression that you are, at least partially, rereleasing the 3.5 books as a sign of good faith in an attempt to appeal to the 3.5 diehards who didn't move to 4th edition. My one request regarding this re-release, as another sign of good faith, is to give us the full errata for the Tome of Battle. In case you have forgotten over the years, when the errata was released, some sort of terrible copy/paste error happened and all but a few bullet points of the errata were replaced with the errata for Complete Mage. While you're at it, answering a few other lingering questions that were never covered by errata or the Official FAQ would be nice as well. There are several of these, many of which are neatly organized for your convenience across the web communities providing unofficial support for the older versions of the game; things like "Can Apostle of Peace own and wear magical items with protective properties despite the Vow of Poverty prerequisite". I'm looking forward to the release of D&D Next and I hope that it feels much closer to what I believe D&D to be than what 4th Edition provided me. I also tentatively look forward to the reprints of the various 3.5 books that make it through the survey and hope you are able to provide clarity on the issues left unaddressed while your concerns were focused on the development and release of the initial batch of 4E books. I can get behind this completely. However, WotC's D&D team doesn't really read the forums. (Their Star Wars: Saga team did, which was amazing, but the 3.5 team never did.) You might want to make this into a direct letter or a petition or something with a bit more visibility and weight.

I might also take Tempest_Stormwind's advice and send a physical letter just to increase the chance that my appeal is read by an actual employee somewhere. Even if it's ultimately ignored, I'd feel better just knowing someone read my idea and considered it even for a second.

After all, people who come here have to be significantly more likely to purchase their products than people who do not. Thanks for the intiative, Brad. I'm just adding my support here. Support our 3.5e please - unless you can come up with something else I'll pay WotC for - there is plenty of existing content left incomplete or error riddled. Thank you - Daniel

It's the only system I've ever reay played and just looking at 4.0 mad me wonder who pushed it's core ideas. some of the fun aspects of 3.5 was that if you where a die heard role player it was a fun system with a nice amount of story in it, well if you where a game brakeing munchikin who liked to shoot 500 arrowes in a round, 50 magical balls of fire at once or swing a sword the size of a house well just being a little over five feet tall, you could find ways if you where dedicated. The games over all feel was left to how the group wanted to play, and wasnt shoe horned into a system of at wills, and so-many-time(s)-per-day abilities that left the game running smoth in ways but giving it an verly mechanical feel. I feel like there have been a ton of neet concepts that wotc could have persued with a few more years of work on 3.5 to even out everything, like a little more source meterial for tome of battle, a little re-working for some of the mechanics in tome of magic, and a bit more support for other mystic/supernatural classes (like the warlock, binder, various psionic clases and such) outside of the standerd cleric and sorc/wiz lists. It would even be neet if they gave a few more options to the base fighter class to make it more than a feet tree master. If they relaunched and put out more support for 3.5, I'm sure they would get a wave of support, and I am compleatly behind the idea of it.
