| #1mightydiemSep 15, 2008 0:52:33 | My players and I are going nuts wondering when the monk is coming to 4th ed. every new suppliment that comes out means a trip to the nearest retailer often just to flip thru the pages in dissapointment. The way the contents are never specified is perturbing. So we're curious about monk's release and what book, wether the new swordmage will be similar to a duskblade and whether druids will have the option to take a familiar or replace wild shape with shapeshift. PLZ post a thread with certain fan requested info such as this. |

The monk is still not on the radar, as far as has been determined. PHB 3 at the earliest; there's a perfectly useable version of the monk (built off the ranger) in the archives of the front page. The swordmage is only tangentially like the duskblade in that each is a one-class arcanist/warrior. I estimate a 1 in crapdillion chance of the Druid resembling the uber-broken 3rd Edition version, so 'Wild Shape' vs 'Shapeshift' is irrelevant; we don't even know if the druid will have any shapechanging ability at all, since that was one major source of rules-bending headaches and overpoweredness. There will apparently be rules for animal cannon fodder in Martial Power. |

I keep track of every single piece of info uttered by a WoTC employee about future releases that I can find. With all of that put together you can get an amazing amount of info. |
