I'd like to see PCs get something like Finger of Death that does the same thing. Considering standard monsters die in about 3 turns anyway, and Solos get a massive save bonus, I think a daily "kill that elite in 3 turns, maybe" is fairly balanced. Maybe if it required attacking a bloodied enemy? |

It's not just about how likely they are to hit, it's about not being a member of the team when it comes to downing things. Notice you said a normal monster dies in 3 rounds, but you want to kill an elite with it? Not to mention it might mean skipping any bloodied reaction effect they might have unless you put the bloody restriction on it. It's already cake to impose -16 penalties to saves in Paragon levels, which really puts a damper on this. Also, no monsters, even the Statted Gods, have listed immunities to Petrify or Instant Death conditions currently: I don't think they ever intend to bring them back. |

The only monsters for which it *might* come into play are such that it would be anticlimactic for it to succeed. |
