Something wierd is going on with the Monster Builder. I just downloaded a december update. What december update? The one that just went live.... but has NO NEW MONSTERS.  Perhaps they fixed the painful bugs, perhaps not.

I think its worth noticing that if you try to search for new monsters by source, a surprising new number of sourcebooks are listed.

Top of that list:  "Advanced Dungeon Masters Guide"

So far, that is the first reference I have ever seen to this book.

also new:  "Players Options: Heros of the Feywild" (expected, but not named publicly)

perhaps new: "Fortress of the Yuan-Ti"  ( I seem to remember this name, not sure)

Also listed:

A whole series of Ravenloft expansion packs
The Ravenloft Role Playing Game
D&D Gazetteer: The Nentir Vale  (maybe it's not dead after all?)
  (is this new?)
Hero Builders Handbook
Monster Vault:  Threats to the Nentir Vale
Mordenkainens Emporeum
NeverwinterNights Campaign Setting
Players handbook: Champions of the heroic tier
Players options: Heros of Shadow

Theory:  They are retooling the monster builder getting it ready for its web-based Beta test and someone accidently made this version available as an update.

Any other ideas? Comments?

I'm pretty sure Fortress of the Yuan-ti was an RPGA adventure module already release.  I could be wrong though.

Pretty awesome, in confirming these things.  Maybe there will finally be new stuff for Bards in Player's Option: Heroes of the Feywild?  At the very least, I expect about 5 new variants on the Fey Pact, for different Courts (since we have Standard Fey Pact for Warlocks, Winter Fey Pact for Warlocks, Winter Fey Pact for Hexblades, and White Lady Fey Pact for Hexblades).

If you follow the link for the Source in the monster builder for creatures from Yuan-Ti you're led back to the WotC where you can download a conversion pdf for the 3/3.5 book (I wasn't playing the game then, so I don't know) that put it in line for running it as a 4th edition game.

Here's hoping for some new Bard goodies!

I'm extremely interested in seeing what they have in store for the "essential" Bard experience.

Interesting, Players Option: Heroes of the Feywild. and Advanced Dungeon Master Guide could be new products untold of.

The Nentir Vale Gazetteer was cancelled out. Players Handbook: Heroes of Champion Tier is the Sword & Spell book.

Hero Builder Handbook tells me something. Didnt we heard about it for 2011 ?

All the rests are product in the way that we heard of. Ravenloft was rumored. Neverwinter was confirmed at Genc Con i believe.

Fortress of the Yuan-Ti was a a 3E adventure that received a conversion last year By Greg Blisland and Robert Wiese  www.wizards.com/dnd/Article.aspx?x=dnd/4...

I'm not so sure that The Nentir Vale Gazetteer was cancelled out after all.  Where did we get confirmation of that?  It just vanished from the calendars, is all.  For all I know, it could have been moved back to later than the first trimester.

Also, good work citing where Fortress of the Yuan-Ti came from.  I knew it was something I wasn't interested in, but I couldn't remember where I had heard of it before.

Maybe the Gazetteer is part of the Advanced DM's Guide now. :D

I think Players Handbook: Heroes of Champion Tier you mean Player Options: Champions of the Heroic Tier, which from what I can tell is seperate for the Sword & Spell book.  Checking Amazon, different release dates for each, different format, different content listed.

Oh, and the Neverwinter Campaign Setting is listed on Amazon now.  Looks to be a DM oriented book.

They actually took some LFR stuff OUT of the monster builder. I recently used a 3rd level shadow solo from there and it's gone since the update.
