Where's the September calendar?  WotC usually has it up at least 2 days before the turn of the month.

Thank you very much.

Looks alittle thin on content, but atleast I'm interested in most the articles, which tbh really makes up for it.

For some reason I didnt think we were getting the assassin till later this year.

It may seem think on content, but I have a feeling this will be some worthwhile content. Genasi and Shardar-Kai are sure to see upgrades to racial stats. Assassins were said to be getting an essentials makeover at Gencon whe HotFL came out, so that's awesome.

Maybe Battleminds will get a "intelligent blade master" type of feat that swordmages had to make up for their Con-based stats and the fact melee training is getting altered (there's been plenty enough threads on the topic).

All in all, this looks like it's going to be an awesome month for D&D

It would be indeed awesome if we got the new Assassin build this month, but reading "Assassin Basics" as the article's title makes me think we're just getting some more powers for the existing builds, like in all basics, along with advice on building either type and some strategy. I hope no more feats, since Assassins ended up having a big bunch of them. (well, actually, I wouldn't mind more..!)

Nope, Battleminds get 1 at-will, an encounter, and 2 magic items to support a stealthy dark battlemind theme. The article's fluff contradicts arcane power and other sources. Also, it suggests you go Con/Cha...which means your stealth skill will be horrible.

Too bad, I was looking forward to this article.

That said, I am also looking forward to the race articles and the new assassin. I wouldnt be surprised if the assassin is the reason for the thinner content, I just hope its better this time. An assassin kills people, not inconviences them.

Its Essentials: Assassin on the calendar for me. Even if it is just support, I would like feats. Too many feats right now are race specific.

The date of September 21st just isn't on the calendar yet -- but it has been announced.  I bet they are holding off on putting it into the calendar because they don't want to spoil too early what is being added or updated besides the Character Builder and the Monster Builder.

Also -- has anyone noticed how quickly the calendar is being updated?  First the "PE: Sorcerer" article disappeared, then the "PE: Wizard" article.  The "Essentials: Assassin" article then became "PE: Assassin".  So I guess we no longer need to speculate about what might be the difference between "PE" and "Essentials".

Hey, dragon trainer! Off-topic, but I wanted to tell you that they get sick and die when they're viewed and clicked too much, not the contrary! You can check the wiki

I found this on the topic: dragcave.wikia.com/wiki/Sickness Wink

Speaking of topic, I might have lost sight of something, but what about this "PE: Assassin"?
Kaviyd3, what do you mean?

PE Assassins = Player's Essentials Assassins.  It will be an Essentials style build (or hopefully builds) for the Assassin.

Ah, that explains why you can hide your egg. Was also curious how mine managed to die over the course of a day or 2.

Also, I'm hoping this new assassin is actually effective at killing people.

The calender has been updated again, now with articles "Dwarves of the All-Father" (I don't think that was there before), "Hunters in the Wasteland", and "Essentials: Pyromancer."

Wow, I could have sworn there wasn't a dwarven article when I first looked. This changes everything about this month. :D With another Eberron backdrop article and the dwarves, I am happy again for this month.

Now bring on Channel Divinity: Melora and finally that overoveroveroverover-due article Playing Goblins.

I believe this will be the Executioner build as mentioned in the HotFL reveals.

I am all for fewer articles of high quality over many articles of mixed quality.

I'm wondering what secondary stat will it be using. I obviously think Constitution is the best one mechanically speaking, but I would also like Wisdom (although I'm not seeing it coming) and I don't mind Charisma: after all most assassinesque races are Dex/Cha.
