Powers in the Shadowfell: The plane is full of monsters and deities and other entities, the most noteworthy of which are discussed here.

Ooh, I wonder if we'll be getting a monster statblock for the Raven Queen? One of the EDs in HoS is obviously aimed at characters who want to fight her...

ETA: Anyone else think that Gloomwrought is really the Dark City and the Keepers are the Strangers, or is it just me?

I am really interested in the format fot the set. The official listing ( www.wizards.com/ContentResources/Wizards... ) says "booklet" rather than book which would be really disappointing to me.

I'd love to see a 128 page hardcover book that would fit perfectly next to the 4e Manual of the Planes, Underdark and the two books on the Plane Above and Below. Does anybody know?

I also hope Wizards will be more generous with the maps. In H1, there were three double-sided maps! In any other product, it had been reduced to a single one.

Too bad. Well, I had a bit of hope due to amazon listing the thickness of the box at two inches. That would be enough for a 128 page hardcover, a 32 page booklet, a double-sided map and two token sheets.

Apr 19, 2011 9:20:04 I really want a Despair deck, that's something that could be worked into any campaign when the characters are somewhere forsaken and spooky. I wish that was something you could be separately, like 3 Dragon Ante. Very glad it is NOT a new type of collectible card type with boosters.

Yeah. I'm normally a total card-phobe (bad memories of 2nd edition Warhammer 40K... so... many... freaking... cards!), but I really want to try these out. I feel a Ravenloft-come-Call-of-Cthulhu campaign coming on.

Apr 20, 2011 11:30:37 It is good to see another setting source, the previous have been quite good, as well. A product for Shadowfell could turn out out to be a collection of monsters with the Undead descriptor, but this article shows they took the time and care needed for setting and mood.

Combine that all with this being a dark urban setting, neglected so far, and battle grounds for two exciting gods, Raven Queen and Orcus, this is very anticipated.

Considering Trenchcoat is part of their equipment? Safe bet ;)

If you don't have it, check them out in Manual of the Planes. It was my first impression...not that its a bad thing.

My brother has my copy of MotP at the moment, but I remember the pic you're thinking of. There was definitely something of the Richard O'Brien about that Keeper...
