#1 Xaielao2 Feb 04, 2009 17:02:14	Title says it all. From what I heard there were 8 new classes in PHB 2 coming out next month. I'm wondering if all of them have been previewed, and if not, if we know what any remaining ones are? Let me see.. Druid Warden Sorcerer Shaman Bard Barbarian what am I missing?

#3 sigil_beguiler Feb 04, 2009 17:10:08	The PHB2 Classes are: -Druid (Previewed) -Barbarian (Previewed) -Shaman (Previewed) -Warden (Previewed) -Sorcerer (Previewed) -Bard (Previewed) -Invoker (Previewed) -Avenger (Not previewed yet but we have seen some character sheets of it from D&D XP)
#4 Ramien Feb 04, 2009 17:13:47	Invoker was previewed here: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/drfe/20081215 All the classes were present as part of the Delve at DDXP this past weekend as well. The avenger has an ability that lets it target a specific enemy, and lets it roll twice to attack the enemy (taking better, of course) with a melee attack, so long as that's the only enemy adjacent to the avenger.
#5 Xaielao2 Feb 04, 2009 17:20:47	Invoker and Avenger ah? I don't know how I missed the Invoker preview lol. I'd love as well to see the Spellsword made a 'core' class as well, but likely not gonna happen. Thx guys Wonder if there will be any new races.

#8 Ramien Feb 04, 2009 17:39:15	Half-Orc, Gnome, Deva, Goliath, Warforged, and Shifter were also previewed, but I'm willing to bet that Warforged and Shifters will be in the Eberron book (assuming Warforged show up someplace other than the pages of Dragon).
#9 Nautilus Feb 04, 2009 17:41:52	Wonder if there will be any new races. Depends how 'new' you mean. There'll be two old favorites (gnome, half-orc), and three you could consider new. I believe the goliath appeared in Races of Stone for 3e, and the shifter showed up in the Eberron campaign setting. The deva is a reimagining of the aasimar, a race from 2e Planescape.

It is considered a core class and will be equally featured in future books, such as the Swordmage. This will be the case with all official classes.
#11 LFK Feb 04, 2009 18:07:53	The Invoker is a ranged caster, the Avenger is like a Michael Jackson fan from the 80's: waif-like, obsessive, and brutal. Avenger uses giant weapons, light armor, and a "hunt you down and kill you" method of career advancement.

Just so you know, you just lost that bet. Shifters are in Players Handbook 2. However, I can't find the link, but I did read something about warforged being discussed for the Eberron players guide.
