Monster Vault: Paragon Tier - A reference book of powerful foes and fierce monsters to challenge Paragon tier adventurers. Monster Vault: Epic Tier - The mightiest and most malignent forces in the universe are yours to command as you strive to challenge Epic level adventurers! Spellbound Repository: Paragon Tier - Fantastic magic items and rituals to amaze, delight, astound, and destroy available for adventurers of the Paragon Tier! Spellbound Repository: Epic Tier - The most powerful arcanum exists here, to be wielded only by equally omnipotent Epic level adventurers.  This book of magic items and rituals even contains the once lost art of Artifact creation.  Just some ideas, thought I would share.
#2 munchmausen1 Jan 14, 2011 11:05:56	If I was publishing these, I would go ahead and make the Epic versions limited production.  I haven't seen numbers to back this up, but I would be surprised if all that many games involve enough high-level play to make use of whole books devoted to nothing else.  So, go ahead and make it a collector's item.

That would be something.  Part of what sparked my idea for these is reading threads on these forums and at EnWorld where posters lament the lack of both enough magic items, especially rares and commons, with the new system, and the lack of support for the epic tier.  So even a limited run would be good, as it might stimulate more play at those levels, thus fueling a market for perhaps even more support later on.
#4 ranadiel Jan 14, 2011 11:40:52	I wouldn't count on anything like this as the heroic tier book that was announced a few months back was one of the three books that was on the chopping box, and heroic tier is the tier that would probably sell the best out of the three.
#5 Alter_Boy Jan 15, 2011 8:47:29	I personally won't use the new magic item system until it gets enough support, so it won't bother me none. I think that DM advice for the different tiers would be useful, but players' options in tier niches would elicit howls of anger from players. A DDI article in this vein, however, would probably be better accepted.

I think it is a good idea... but after the Essentials books I'm not sure how well it would do. If the Essentials had actually heroic Tier products than they could follow that with other stuff... but they had not planned it that way of course.
