No. No melee. Its mostly ranged and close powers.

Sorcerer was always my favorite class, and I think it sounds good. But then I would probably be happy with anything that was called sorcerer.

Lots of Ranged 10 and Close Blasts, so not particularly melee...

Though it seems that could hold their own in a knife fight. :D

Well, that's what Rogue Multiclassing is for I guess.

The Str secondary aspect excites and frightens me.

I'm curious to see the full write up, as Str to AC should be interesting fluff-wise.

Looks like lots of stuff that addes a second ability modifier to damage. The CO board has only just started to argue about it; the consensus seems to be that they'll generally outdamage a warlock, but will be harder to keep alive due to lack of warlock's control/evasion/debuff abilities.

I was going to say from what I've heard from a friend on the phone, the Sorc sounds like it's lacking the Warlocks -flat out control-.

Well, I'll cross-post the fluff imagery I came up with:
...Oh, I just had a fun visual. The Strength Sorc conjures up handfulls of fire, ice, whatever, smashes them together, and tosses it at the enemy. The chromatic spells and such? They reach out, "rip" the elements from the nether, and continually mash the spell together. Albeit really fast, since it's a standard action.
Seriously, I'm liking this idea the more I play with it in my head.

Anybody remember in the 3.0 DMG, there was a picture of a battlefield in black and white (drawn by Wayne Reynolds) and in it, there was this grizzled looking mage with long hair chucking spells? Dude, the str sorcerer in my mind fits that guy to a T.

Awesome.
