So what we know so far, is that it's strength secondary, and the new Monk article seems to imply it's more of a pure striker, opposed to the Centered Breath which was a secondary controller build. My theory is that while the Centered Breath build was the more meditative Monk specializing in the "soft/internal" styles of martial arts, the Stonefist is more of a specialist of the "hard/external" styles of martial arts. The type involving breaking things with ones fingers or have iron hard skin that breaks spears. |

| #3KoboldAvengerNov 21, 2009 12:04:15 | Well based on the fact it's Dex/Str Half-Orcs are probably really good at this path, Dwarves are strangely enough a better fit for centered breath. Though it's kind of hard to imagine a Dwarf meditating (though incidently they'd make good Battleminds since apparently Wilden make good Battleminds too). I'd imagine they'd want to be stonefists, even if the monastery said they weren't as suitable for it, simply because they didn't like the approach of the other path. But unlike other classes it doesn't matter which path you take, you can use strength secondary powers even if you've taken the wisdom secondary route. Still I'm looking forward to a Halfling or Goblin Monk... |

| #6thescalesoffateNov 21, 2009 18:17:31 | I have a theory that it's going to be awesome. |
| #7Duke5150Nov 21, 2009 18:38:58 | I suspect is will be all "Huah!" and the enemy will be all, "Eh?!?", and then it will go "Ha-cha!", and "Foopa!", and they'll be all "Uuuuh...", and it will go "Aaayy" and "Hmmmmm..." Because everything points to this to be true, 100%, I have to agree. |

| #9ValienNov 24, 2009 5:38:56 | I suspect is will be all "Huah!" and the enemy will be all, "Eh?!?", and then it will go "Ha-cha!", and "Foopa!", and they'll be all "Uuuuh...", and it will go "Aaayy" and "Hmmmmm..." You thought of Soul Calibur, didn't you? |
| #10KoboldAvengerNov 24, 2009 9:33:17 | They'll probably have something like the current flurry of blows, except it's only against the target they hit, and it doesn't slide, but does more damage. They certainly imply more damage with the Stonefist, but I suspect it'll have a less controllery add-on effect, whether it be a push, or a penalty to the target's attack to the beginning of your next turn. |
