| #1aerymachApr 07, 2009 16:52:22 | Any speculative ideas about what the Aegis of Ensnarement will do? Surely it has to do more than just slow/immobilize? Thoughts? |
| #2sally_jonesApr 07, 2009 16:55:10 | pull effect? |
| #3Pundrake_the_MadApr 08, 2009 11:56:59 | pull effect? Also my first guess. Possibly something that works well with the Lightning Lure At-Will power? PtM |
| #4zsigApr 08, 2009 12:28:23 | This probably would be too powerful, but something reverse to Aegis of Assault. Instead of teleporting to the target, you teleport the target to you... hum... |
| #5BloodsausageApr 08, 2009 17:10:55 | This probably would be too powerful, but something reverse to Aegis of Assault. Eh, there's an encounter power that does that already. I don't think that would balance very well. |
| #6tiamatdragonwingApr 08, 2009 17:27:20 | if it was an interrupt, definitely to a point of potentially overshadowing both of the original ones, but as a reaction I think it would be balanced |
| #7vebrandssonApr 08, 2009 18:42:16 | I don't think teleporting the opponent would be balanced as an aegis, its better in my opinion than the assault particularly combined with total aegis. Probably something like pull the target a number of squares equal to x (possibly Str) modifier as a reaction. |
| #8mplindustriesApr 08, 2009 23:50:16 | What if it does something else entirely? What if its a mark that also Slows or something strange like that? Maybe it triggers an attack if they shift or move too far or something. I don't know, I think it will be very different from Assault and Shielding. |
| #9zeratulcraftApr 09, 2009 0:22:06 | I think they'll be Slowed when they make an attack that isn't against you, and prolly be unable to take OA's. Letting their attackee flee without concern. |
| #10zsigApr 09, 2009 20:16:38 | So, it seems some people already got their books around ENWorld and RPGNOW, and it turns out I wasn't too far off after all. |
| #11the_badger_02Apr 10, 2009 0:09:18 | Have they covered what ability mod it focuses on? |
| #12CK.356Apr 10, 2009 6:14:40 | A few of the aegis of ensnarement powers use Con but it is not as heavily required as it is for Aegis of Shielding or that is what I've read at least. |
| #13the_badger_02Apr 10, 2009 12:56:43 | Damn. I was kind of thinking it would be more helpful if they had a better option for Strength based Swordmages. Hopefully there are just better powers for them in Arcane Power. |
