Wasn't there a Class Acts: Warlord already on this very subject (getting tactical genius from devils)?

Sounds overpowered to me, for it to be balanced, the gnome shouldn't be warned that he's about to be taken.

Okay. On to topic:
Assuming this is about Warlock Pacts, rather than Warlord Pacts, do you think it will be an all new pact, or an article discussing the various pacts, and providing new material for them? Do you think it will focus on fluff about the pacts, or about new powers, feats, implements, etc associated with the pacts? What about being like the Essentials articles, but focusing just on the build options (in that case, the actual Warlock Essentials article would feature the builds spoken of in the Monster Manual rather than the actual pacts themselves? That wouldn't follow suit with the Wizard Essentials, however).
What do you think?
I wish it were a new Warlock Pact (like a Genie Pact dealing with Djinn and Efreet), but I sort of doubt that appearing in Dragon rather than in a bound book. Then again, Warrior Forge Artificers are appearing later this month as well (though that might be further evidence that that wouldn't happen in the same month).
I kind of hope it's not new pacts. I think there is still room for the existing pacts to get more power love and adding on more pacts will only make this more difficult.
Honestly, I hope they do not add in more pacts. I want fluff on the existing pacts, as well as more crunch in the form of feats and powers. I'd also like them to add a new at-will choice for each pact, but that's wishing on a star.
That is a fantastic idea.
Hopefully, they'll not introduce a new pact. I think the article will be concieved as a guide to the existing pacts (something like "How to sell your soul", that explain how a mere human could contact supernatural powers and sell them part of his soul), a "strategy guide" with new powers and new feats.
But, if there should be a new pact, I hope fore some Abyss-bound pact. I think that in 4E the devils have largely outshined the demons, and that's not very correct.

This sounds more like a role-playing centric article, though they're may be some feats and/or powers specific to the sample patrons.
That's what I thought and hoped.
It'll be more like the a multitude of the sections at the end of the "Court of the Stars" series of articles, only for all types of Warlock pacts. We make get more flesh on certain Vestiges, probably less on the Stars, since they already got a whole article to them, but perhaps a bit, a little on various other Archfey, some chief Devils, and what I'm looking forward to the most, what the Dark Powers are that Darklocks derive from.

Interesting. This poses entities that aren't just "Great Powers" as defined in previous works, but could be lesser pact-granters as well. Or else things that aren't quite as the pacts defined. Interesting, to say the least.
