#1 Glevendrael Sep 12, 2014 12:31:01	Ok, I was told (in the "D&D Previous Editions" forum, elsewhere on this webpage) that,   "you're not going to get WotC attention by posting in previous editions forums, and your certainly not going to get PDF files added for a system that's been out of print for two editions. --Pheonix042"   However, I was told (by Scott Holden, from DNDCLASSICS):   "We do intend to carry those titles, yes, but of course the decision is ultimately up to the folks over at Wizards. We've been assured we'll be able to sell them at some point, but they play some cards very close to the chest over there. Your best bet, if you want to see them sooner, is to let their community folks know - maybe start a thread on the forums to let them know there's big demand for core books in PDF."   So, I apologize for the duplicate posting, but since Mr. Pheonix believes that my post will go un-noticed in that sub-forum, I am re-posting it here.   And by the way, I realize that pirated PDFs are available for free via Google. But I am not a crook; in fact, when it comes to protecting intellectual property and following copyright law, I am the exact opposite. Yes, I am a librarian, and I'm proud of it.   So anyway, here's my post:     The one thing that is BLATANTLY missing from the DNDCLASSICS website is the core rule books for 3.0 / 3.5!!   I would like to see:   3.0 Player's Handbook 3.0 Dungeon Master's Guide 3.0 Monster Manual   3.5 Player's Handbook 3.5 Dungeon Master's Guide 3.5 Monster Manual   all as watermarked PDF files for sale on the DNDCLASSICS website!   People like me, who bought all these books back in the day (circa 2000-2001) and who have (like me) been away from the game for 7 or 8 years, who are looking to get back into it, desperately need these PDF files!   Don't get me wrong, I still have my 3.0/3.5 books, all in pristine, like-new condition. But I have like $600 or so worth of them; that's about 2 suitcases FULL of HEAVY books that I'd rather not drag around!   I'd love to buy the watermarked PDFs for all of my older books, like Savage Species, Complete Arcane, etc., but they won't do me any good without the core rulebooks!   This post is intended to BEG Wizards of The Coast to PLEASE make the 3.0/3.5 core books available in watermarked PDF format, for those of us who are getting back into the game, who want to have the convenience of bringing their iPad to the gaming table, rather than a truckload of books.   If any of you guys out there feel the same way I do, and would love to see the 3.0/3.5 core books available as watermarked PDFs, then PLEASE RESPOND to this post, and show WOTC that there is significant interest, and that doing so would be profitable for them!   And moderators, PLEASE MAKE THIS A STICKY POST! Don't let it get buried! 3.0/3.5 is still a great system, and there are still a lot of guys like me out here, who really need these materials!   Thanks so much for your time and consideration!   Glevendrael All who wander are not lost...
#2 Torg_Smith Sep 12, 2014 14:52:55	Yes, this is the proper forum for this. I doubt it will get a sticky. WotC has stated that they will release the entire back catalog in PDF. I do believe this includes the core books.   Now that we know they do not plan on releasing the 5E core books in PDF at this time, I suspect they are concerned about the online community sticking with the older editions for play. They have not been very open with their plans for the core books. I am quite bummed I did not purchase the 2.X and 3.X core books when they were for sale prior to 2009.
