Like the vampire will it ever become a class?

Currently we have Shifters. How good is their racial PP, and how full werewolf can they go? (Longtooth of course)

No telling.

The Pack Outcast theme works pretty well for werewolfing, however, and the Moonstalker PP isn't too bad as far as I know.

They said they where thinking about it.  And that the would probably do it in a similar style to vampiers.

Beyond that, there's a wearwolf curse in BoVD.

What does the Werewolf curse do? I have that book. I found the Outcast Pack theme, and now I'm at a crossroads for my character. I'll have to edit his back story regardless, because I decided to change his weapon so I have to write a little bit on that decision and it's impact on his tribe. Part of his backstory is that he's a Gladiator. I love the Gladiator theme. It adds powers that help my role as a Defender/Striker (I'm a Longtooth Shifter Berserker). I want a brutal, savage hunter. I want him to stalk down and single out prey and destroy them efficiently. The Wolf Form gives great mobility, and some of the Wolf Powers are beastin', on the other hand the Gladiator can make life hell for people. I'm now at a crossroads as to how to merge my bestiality with my effectiveness to conquer my foes. Dang it.

THe "Pack Outcast" theme gives a more full werewolfy experience, and is not bad mechanically.

Requirements: human or shifter
Level 1:   at will polymorph power to turn into a wolf. Not terribly strong, but of course key thematically.
Level 5: Free melee CA
Level 10: skill bumps.

Optional utilities:
2 - enc - knock prone on hit with CA (like a wolf)
6 - daily - regeneration while bloodied (supressed by silver), can end early to spend HS.
10 - daily - polymorph power to become hybrid form, with encounter long bonuses. (NOTE: due to inattentiveness on the designers' part, some of the bonuses don't stack with the mandatory level 10 bonuses. So just ignore those bonuses.)

Since werewolf is available as both a theme and a race there's a good chance it won't make class status. (never know though. Vampire is currently a class, race (vryloka) and bloodline feat chain. I'm sure we can get a vampire theme along with werewolf class and bloodline feats to attain critical mass of both. :P)

As to Longtooths and their racial PP: obviously you need to be Str/Wis or Dex/Wis and have a lot of proning and be a melee type to make it work. That's not too tight of constraints but does limit choices somewhat. Obviously, World Serpent Grasp is a great investment, along with powers/feats to support it. And if you're going to be proning a lot, Headsman's Chop is an obvious synergy.

I edited my above post before you replied, but I am in fact a Longtooth Shifter Berserker, so I have the whole knocking people prone and melee Str/Wis thing covered. Somehow Berserker powers seem to want people prone, a lot. Then as you level up they do it more and better.

I'm not that familiar with berserkers yet, but sounds like you've got a good synergy going then. Maybe go for something like axe + Master at Arms + pack outcast.. you can use wolf form for +1 attack at the cost of some damage, sort of a reverse power attack. Then work in the PP at 11.

Skyrim has awesome werwolf transformation  (and its a daily) - wish it had a DM and was multiplayer

The berzerk being appropriate for weres is very reasonable the legendary berzerkers channeling of the spirit of beasts generally bears and wolves is likely a heavy inspiration on the barbarian class as a whole.
