What about monks?

I wonder why've found nothing on monks in 4e... Are they going to be released in the PHB II? is there any data already known about them? Or have they been banished from the world?

Assuming PHB III has no power source refeatures, my guess is that's where you'll have to look for monks as they're power source will be Ki.

Also, this should really go in the future releases board.

Nov 11, 2008 10:28:04 There is this article that deals with character conversions that can give you a jury-rigged monk. It's not the best solution, but if you need something now, it's the closest thing to official.

With the Adventurer's Vault out, though, I'd just go straight up ranger with reflavored spiked gauntlets and no real conversions.

Eh, I'd rather they take their time and do it right rather then rush monkis out the door and saddle us with another trap class full of abilities that look great but dont work together well. I mean, really, DR/Magic at lvl twenty? If your enemies didnt have a magic weapons at that point then they werent a threat to you anyway.
