So far I haven't seen many requests to fix anything (except some whining about the Shaman's AC), which I see as a sign that the Primal classes were well-designed and players are having fun with them. So, what do you want to see in Primal Power? EDIT: Collected Ideas Collected ideas Barbarian
Druid
Shaman
Warden

I feel very silly that I do the same damage and have the same abilities if my Druid becomes a lynx, a chinchilla, or a miniature dragon. I would like a series of small templates of common Wild Shapes and the ability to chose between them. Badger, Bear, Boar, Cat, Wolf, Lizard, Serpent, Spider, and Raptor (for Sky Hunter druids) would do it for me. |
| #3Mist-BoundMay 13, 2009 17:14:36 | Personally, I'd like to see a "replacement feature" (ala how Fighters can replace Fighter Weapon Talent with either Tempest Technique or Battlerager Vigor) for the Druid in place of Wild Shape. Now, I like the 4e Druid, don't get me wrong, but to me it really feels more like two classes stuck together under one name; a "Nature Mystic" who controls the natural forces around him, and a "Beast Warrior" who invokes the Primal Beast to assume a monstrous form. A feature to help emphasise a Druid who focuses on the Non-Beast Specific powers is something I'd really like. I'd also like new level 5 and level 17 "Form of" powers for the Warden; all of the other Daily levels have Form powers (that is, powers where the Warden assumes the form of a specific spirit/primal entity), and that these two levels don't feels rather jarring. |

Additionally, or alternatively, more "non-Form" Daily powers would also be welcome, to make the 5th and 17th levels feel less out of place in a different way. |
| #5CaericMay 13, 2009 17:23:33 | I expect to have some attention brought to Wild Shape to give the shapings more individuality. Otherwise it's just a class feature to most people. A third barbarian thingy. Perhaps also Constitution-based, but I think a Strength-and-Dexterity Barbarian could be fun. Hopefully an Animal Companion class feature for Druids, which I could see replacing Wild Shape altogether. I don't expect much in particular for Shaman and Warden, but that's only because I haven't studied them much. They should have more stuff and should get more build options with wider ranges of ability scores available. |
| #6MaximumHavocMay 13, 2009 18:38:22 | Now, I like the 4e Druid, don't get me wrong, but to me it really feels more like two classes stuck together under one name; a "Nature Mystic" who controls the natural forces around him, and a "Beast Warrior" who invokes the Primal Beast to assume a monstrous form. this phenomenon is true of several classes; some more officially than others (e.g., rangers and clerics vs. warlocks and sorcerers). i see no problem with this. personally, i would like to see them expand the druid by adding a plant theme to the existing animal and weather themes. |
| #7rampantMay 13, 2009 21:21:57 | First off I'd like a shaman build that can actually use that spear proficiency. |
| #8ppaladin123May 14, 2009 2:24:08 | Shaman evocations/feats that pump up the class's ability to grant saving throws and saving throw bonuses. It's definitely a weak spot right now. |
| #9ekioMay 14, 2009 8:32:48 | A third barbarian thingy. Perhaps also Constitution-based, but I think a Strength-and-Dexterity Barbarian could be fun. A hulking hurler sort of build would be cool and would give a controller aspect to the barbarian. (What? They already have defender and leader under their belt...) |
| #10Axiomatic_BadgerMay 14, 2009 8:42:05 | A "Natural Spell" feat that lets me add the Beast Form keyword to my evocations. |
| #11MaximumHavocMay 14, 2009 8:59:47 | A "Natural Spell" feat that lets me add the Beast Form keyword to my evocations. niiiiice |
| #12mkillMay 14, 2009 9:14:51 | A "Natural Spell" feat that lets me add the Beast Form keyword to my evocations. Uh-oh, I hope you're being sarcastic... Well, as an Epic feat that adds the keyword to one power (cf. feats that add the Invigorating and Rattling keywords to one power) it would be okay. @Caeric: I love the idea of a Dex-based barbarian. What do you think about the following writeup? Ferocious Instinct: You gain the eye for an eye power. In addition, whenever your attack reduces an enemy to 0 hit points, you can shift a number of squares equal to your Dexterity modifier. Eye for an Eye - Barbarian Feature Encounter - Primal, Weapon Free Action - Melee Weapon Trigger: Your attack reduces an enemy to 0 hit points Effect: Make a melee basic attack against an enemy who attacks you as a Immediate Reaction before the end of your next turn. If no enemy attacks you, you do not expend this power. I just love the image of an elf barbarian in camouflage and a spear. There should be feats and powers for this barbarian path with extra effect for spears. |

| #14dabutcherMay 14, 2009 16:07:33 | I want to see the Barbarian wielding two two-handed axes. I'm hoping for an execution like this... You may treat all one handed weapons as if they had the off-hand property. At 11th level, you may choose a weapon group. You may wield two-handed weapons from that group in one-hand, but you take a -1 penalty to attack rolls when wielding a two-handed weapon in one hand. At 21st level, you may choose a second weapon group for this feature. This would balance it out with restricted weapon choice and a penalty to attack rolls in sake of extra damage. |

| #16sigil_beguilerMay 14, 2009 18:45:41 | What I would like to see:
Overall too, I would like to see heavier spirit emphasis, so no elements used or "nature" just spirits. |
| #17MaximumHavocMay 14, 2009 20:22:05 | . . . personally, i would like to see them expand the druid by adding a plant theme to the existing animal and weather themes. regarding the plant theme, if it is not made into an actual separate build, then perhaps each plant power could, in addition to its fundamental effect, provide a bonus effect specific to and appropriate for each of the two existing builds. |
