Rather than receiving Encounter and Daily powers - they get at-wills and power points The power points are used to change the at-will power to a more powerful form. Power points are restored after a rest (short or extended). A 1st level psion starts with 2 power points. The at-wills can be used (unaugmented) without expending power points. Some will have separate entries such as Augment x. x is the number of power points to use that form of the power. |

| #4StormCrow42Aug 05, 2009 2:43:24 | The information you're looking for is with the Psion class, the only class currently available that uses the power point mechanism. You can find the information in the compendium or inside the character builder. Further information is in an article in Dragon 377. |

| #6GrazelAug 08, 2009 4:00:36 | Actually Psions and 2 other psionics power-source classes will user power points. It only replaces their encounter attack powers, they still get dailies and utility powers (which can include encounter powers). Unaugmented powers are equivalent to other classes at-will powers while they can partially or fully augment their at-wills to make them slightly more powerful or as powerful as an encounter power. They get roughly the number of power points needed to give them enough full augments to equal the number of encounter powers that other classes get. The monk is the only psionic class that doesn't use the power point system (instead they get the full disciplines). This was gleaned from the psion, monk, and githzerai previews as well as a couple other articles (the githzerai states there's 4 psionic classes in PH3 and the psion article says 3 of the psionic classes will use power points). |
