when do we se more on the Adventure tools you talked about for 2 years ago that we will get alot more soon but now 2 years after we still only have the Monster builder/Index tool and it is wery good i just whis there wass a option to save you pen table so i can set up my monsters encounter days before the day i shall be Gm . i have been Gm for over 20 years now and play D&D for almost 24 years now . the tool is wery good i just payed for 1 more year but i most say i dont get why we dont see any more tools .

and i dont understand why you havent update monster tools with monster manual nr 3 that came out 15 june and now 3 weeks after still nothing

i have try to write mails to wizarads about all this but nothing happens that is why i try to write a post here and hope to see that Wizards people can replay on it all

but plz tell me if there is a way to save you pen holder files because maby it is just me that cant find it

i hope to hear from some good players or GM and specials to hear from Wizards

They have stated the reason for this already. The Adventure Tools and Compendium were not updated for June because the Monster Manual 3 completely changed the monster stat block format. The updates were delayed because the tools are being updated to use the new format (for all monsters, not just MM3 ones).

I think that's a perfectly fair reason to miss one month in the update cycle.

As for the rest of the tools that are MIA after two years... yeah, that's getting absurd. I've given up any hope of ever seeing any further tools from WotC.

Jul 06, 2010 10:39:18 I would think that if they were having trouble doing those tools on their own then perhaps they should consider having a third party work on those tools instead. It would definitely free up internal workers for other projects.

Jul 06, 2010 11:18:29 I believe the original plan was to have a 3rd party developer build the tools for them. They weren't pleased with what they were getting, and decided they could do a better job internally.

That's what I've heard on these forums anyway, but it may be mistaken.

Jul 06, 2010 12:45:58 Due to my bastard friend leaving his laptop at my house, often, and allowing me to use it, I'v become addicted to monster builder and character builder. In fact, when he needed his laptop last week, I discovered just how addicted I was, in that I really missed tinkering with monsters and character builds. But, the laptop's back now, so I'm no longer fiending.

I will say this, when wotc releases new tools, I'm going to subscribe for at least a month, cause I want the DDI stuff on my pc. I'm just worried my pc won't be able to handle it. It's an aging dell, so it might run real slow with the tools. I downloaded the CB demo and it took forever to download and seemed to lag, so I'm hesitant on subscribing. I need a new pc. lol.

Thankfully, dude's laptop is kick ass.

You mean you expect to have new tools to be introduced more often? Hasn't this years candidate already put into the service (The Adventure Tools/Monster Builder)?

Some of the PHB3 stuff was added to CB before it's release that was previewed in Dragon articles, and I think it took a month for the CB to be completely updated?

I think it may take longer for MM3 to be added into the MB because I think they may be re-doing all the stat blocks from past creatures to the new format?

I would like to see these updates soon, and as far as future tools go, I would really like to see a Trap Builder and a Skill Challenge builder.

Jul 07, 2010 0:52:59 Most books tend to take a week to half a month to go up. It really depends on when the book comes out, and when the first tuesday of the next month is. I dont think its ever fully taken a whole month, because books tend to come out the middle of the month or later.

Now, when it comes to the magazine stuff, that takes a month and a bit, because unlike the books, they haven't been sitting on it for 5 months while its printing.
