Err... if you don't like the blue dice buy any of the many other dice sets available from a dozen other companies? I heard they are compatible.

They were.  I heard that Wizards was updating to non-eucledian solids with these new dice.

If Gamma World sells well, they'll be releasing Pokethulhu 4e.  Each copy comes with a complete set of polyhedral dice including the eldritch Shining Dodecahedron, and 32 collectible 'thulhus!

That is not dead which can eternal lie,
and with strange aeons even death may die!
To bring down our masters on an icy night,
And to claim the power when the stars are right...
Derleth! Bloch! Team Eibon!
Stand fast to resist our rage...
Or flee to the safety of a new dark age!

(sadly, this will never happen)

But that's not a deliberate design feature so much as an inevitable consequence of importing them from the Far Realm. Those aboleths can make stuff even cheaper than the Chinese, if you don't mind a few minor reality-warping effects or the risk of accidentally getting turned into a foulspawn.

Will they introduce an d∞ and bring back the dπ?

No one knows about the first one but those too maddened to utter coherent syllables, but I'd say the dπ is in full-time retirement. People just couldn't figure out exactly how many sides there were. It was getting frustrating.

Yeah, dπ was always a pain in my games. If you tried to figure out your roll to within scientific accuracy, it really bogged down gameplay. And if you didn't, you always had those rules lawyers who wanted to round up when it was their rolls for hp or damage, but always yelled at me if I didn't round down when making monster attacks or rolling for traps. Way too many fights at my table started with the roll of a dπ.

But you always round down in 4th edition, so there should no longer be a problem. In 4th edition, π really does = 3. Which also explains why fireballs and gelatinous cubes are now the same shape.

I'm still holding out hope for the di, though I've been told I should "get real" and stop imagining things...

Too bad for you.

Mine roll great.  I get the max result every time.

I'm a big fan of de.  My rolls are always transcendental, and in Dragons & Dungeons, they're always natural.

I love my de too, it's just great. But I'm wondering if I ever find my dln8 and my dln12 again. I think I lost them anywhere...

Maybe I'll get to use my d4i again soon! After all, isn't D&D a game of the imagination?

You've spurred a whole new line of dice! Or perhaps a line segment.

Somehow, I'm unsurprised. Marandahir, you know what I'm talking about.

I found the most bizarre die in my collection the other day.
Wierder than all those above, and probably used slightly less.
One day maybe I'll even get to roll my d12.

It must just be me.  I use this more than most of my dice.  Except the d20 and d10 (my mot often playd character is a 3e Halberdier.)

So what does it say about me that I saw that coming and still clicked it because I hadn't listened to that in a while ?

It means that you're never gonna give it up, never gonna let it down.
