We now know that psionics is being activly developed consiquently a few doors for future releases are begining to open. (Ebberon, Darksun)  I know there is a lot of speculation on weather we will ever see a Campaign Setting Book/Box set  for any of the old or new settings for 5e.  Im curiouse as to what everyone believes will be the 1st setting beyond FR to see a print product for 5e?  Granted that may be an AP or Setting book or perhaps something we have not thought of.  So based on what we have seen, what we know is in development and any other evidence that I have missed, which setting do you think will see print first?  What form do you think the product will take?

Again this could be any form as long as its a physical printed retail product.

Heck, at this point it seems like it’s going to be a while before we even see that core Forgotten Realms sourcebook. I’d suspect Eberron would be next, but I could see them going with a big comeback for an older setting, like Planescape. Even though there’s talk of Psionics, I don’t know how well Dark Sun did during the 4e era, whether that would justify a quick return to it.

I will always be a sucker for boxed sets, but I think that format isn’t something we’ll see Wizards do again.

Since everything 5th edition seems to be tied to the Neverwinter MMO for the forseeable future, my guess would be Planescape, as it makes the most sense of all the settings for characters in Neverwinter to travel to.

Anything!!, I just want to see other Campaign Setting besides FR... I'm tired of Drows and Red Wizards.

Time for Planescape to shine again, or at least put more love on Dark Sun and Ravenloft.

I would be surprised if the first official 5E settings book was not Forgotten Realms.  Heck, if you look at ALL the current Campaigns for 5th (Tyranny of Dragons, Elemental Evil, and the upcoming Out of the Abyss), they all take place.... that's right.... in the Forgotten Realms.   So it looks like they are hell bent on giving the FR a priority and already have lots of post-Sundering story arcs developed for it.

But after FR comes out, who knows what's next.  Maybe Eberron or Dark Sun, which they hinted at.

July 26th.... and the Sword Coast  Adventurer's Guide is just announced!   Errmmmm..... not exactly an all-encompassing FR campaign sourcebook that we were speculating.  Since the Sword Coast is only one region of the entire Faerun.

Oh well.... better than nothing....

I really hope Eberron shows up soon.
