| #1quix0teFeb 02, 2011 14:47:23 | I apologize is this subject is 1)tender or 2) beaten to death. They aren't putting out splatbooks anymore for 4E. No new PHBs on the horizon, no new XXXX Power 2. ARe they backing away? Any hints what would be next? |
| #2_Mithreinmaethor_Feb 02, 2011 14:55:31 | I apologize is this subject is 1)tender or 2) beaten to death. They saturated the market too quickly with splat books and have reined in the horses so to speak at this point. They feel that they can provide crunch in different ways than hard bound books. |
| #3malisteenFeb 02, 2011 15:12:11 | Leastwise, that's the party line they're towing. |
| #4drnickFeb 02, 2011 15:30:04 | Leastwise, that's the party line they're towing. toeing. The phrase is toe the line not tow the line. ... I apologize for my rudeness. People who misuse common phrases is a (n odd) pet peeve of mine. |
| #5Dane_McArdyFeb 02, 2011 15:42:38 | I apologize is this subject is 1)tender or 2) beaten to death. Was there something, a race, a class or such that you were hoping to see? |
| #6malisteenFeb 02, 2011 15:50:21 | I apologize for my rudeness. People who misuse common phrases is a (n odd) pet peeve of mine. No problem, thanks for the correction. I've only ever heard the phrase spoken, so I didn't know. But now I do, and knowing is half the battle! |
| #7KalnaurFeb 02, 2011 16:51:44 | I apologize for my rudeness. People who misuse common phrases is a (n odd) pet peeve of mine. The other half is violence. Or so I hear. ![]() Yes, I do love the teacher smiley. I love it very much. |
| #8drnickFeb 03, 2011 12:43:32 | I apologize for my rudeness. People who misuse common phrases is a (n odd) pet peeve of mine. Cool, I'm glad you took my post in the light I had intended. People tend to get snarky with my half-serious posts around here. ![]() I really enjoy our language quite a bit and love to teach its oddities to people so that's where I was coming from. |
| #9excalainenFeb 03, 2011 12:51:51 | Tuskin yhtä paljon kuin minä pidän omasta äidinkielestäni . |
| #10modern_iconoclastFeb 03, 2011 12:55:46 | Tuskin yhtä paljon kuin minä pidän omasta äidinkielestäni . That's Swedish heh? I had trouble translating the last word "äidinkielestäni" Computer-translation: I do not believe just as much as I consider its own äidinkielestäni |
| #11excalainenFeb 03, 2011 12:59:37 | Tuskin yhtä paljon kuin minä pidän omasta äidinkielestäni . Gods, no. It's Finnish. Not a Germanic language at all. I leave the last word a mystery to be solved. That computer translation is... lacking. |
| #12tsukinousagiFeb 03, 2011 13:08:45 | I apologize is this subject is 1)tender or 2) beaten to death. It's a combination of hardcovers not returning enough profit, softcovers cheaper to make and a recent surge of devotion to Essentials. Some titles were put on re think while they decide how to market them and still make money. But truly, after 3 Players and several power books there comes a time when the well starts running low. To be honest, I'd have been happier with 'coming in 2012 5th edition' instead of several Essentials products which I think have not been of use. |
| #13modern_iconoclastFeb 03, 2011 13:10:29 | Tuskin yhtä paljon kuin minä pidän omasta äidinkielestäni . Oh Gods yeah, I'm sorry then. I know from a friend that some take it personal when you mix them. The Finntroll will eat me for that. |
| #14kairirosesFeb 03, 2011 13:20:48 | Well, fairly soon on the horizon are "Heroes of Shadow" and "The Shadowfell: Gloomwrought and Beyond" which collectively focus on the Shadowfell and anti-heroes. |
| #15KalnaurFeb 03, 2011 20:20:24 | Tuskin yhtä paljon kuin minä pidän omasta äidinkielestäni . I think it's something about prefering your "mother tongue" (i.e. finnish) over english. But that's just a guess. |
| #16undraveFeb 03, 2011 21:48:32 | I apologize for my rudeness. People who misuse common phrases is a (n odd) pet peeve of mine. I am fairly certain the other half is composed mostly of red and blue lasers... with a side order of ejection seats. ![]() |
| #17excalainenFeb 04, 2011 10:26:56 | Tuskin yhtä paljon kuin minä pidän omasta äidinkielestäni . Yeah, pretty much so. But English is still my favourite foreign language, so I'm not too unhappy to be forced to use it here. |
| #18KalnaurFeb 04, 2011 12:03:33 | Tuskin yhtä paljon kuin minä pidän omasta äidinkielestäni . Huzzah! I was right! ![]() ![]() ![]() Glad English is a favorite. Even if it does, well, this. |
