But we got the Psion on the day we first saw it; we got the Githzerai, too. And while these are 'exclusive previews', nor 'exclusive content', I fail to see the big difference. We've come to expect our 'Insider content' in our builders on the day it's first previewed!
Does anyone else think that Wizards should have had the Assassin be a part of the Character Builder update? I just... don't see a reason why they didn't.
Unless, of course, it WILL be, and the articles are just their fare of designer commentary... which I love, by the way...
Ah well. Just a bit of griping on my part I guess. |

This way, deticated subscribers can get the content, although use it manually, and THEN we get them in the CB.
I also found this:

Because the PHB3 debut material is released direct to the CB and compendium. Dragon (DDI) exclusive material is in the magazine first, then released as updates later like every other mag article. So technically, we won't see the Assassin in the CB until the November update because the Dragon issue are always an issue behind in the updates. EDIT: I see a previous poster posted somethign from Trevor statign it would be int he October update. That would be nice. Although I'm not holding my breath. |

They take advantage of this, by ensuring that the character builder is not updated with 'magazine' content is fully reviewed by the public and updated before the final compilation of the articles. It then takes them time to add that content into the character builder. So, that's why the articles lag behind the character builder updates." "I actually like this, because I generally ignored Paizo's magazine content because it simply wasn't built and reviewed by the game creators, and now it has both their backing and the public eye to help correct it." "This is not a marketing issue, it's a quality issue, and I would rather they carefully, and slowly if it calls for it, review the content." |
