I'd like to see more character classes with a wider range of base attributes.

Wisdom defender

Dexterity leader

Strength controller

Why?

Grid-filling for the sake of mere equilibrium is bad design. Just as the designers haven't thought of a solid concept for a Martial Controller, they also have not thought of concepts where the specific instances of key-stat dependency mapped to role you cite make sense. Considering how inane Wizards' design tends to get when they do engage in pointless grid-filling (see: subclasses), this is as it should be.

Paladin (secondary, I grant you, but a strongly WIS-secondary Pally can be pretty damn buff) or Half-Elf Knight (though CON is a much better stat to use if you're going that way...)

Ranged Skald

Thrown-weapon Hunter.

Any more?

But yeah, in general, there's not really any need to do this sort of thing just 'cos.
