Okay we are going to have Forgotten Realms can we please get an Al-Qadim book for the setting. Al-Qadim was set on that world and I feel that 4th edition can do a good job with classes like Sha'ir and the clockwork mage that were created for that setting when it frist came out. I am only asking for one book for that setting it was and is one of my favorite setting from 2nd edition and yes I have been playing D&D sence 1977. I even was a master level player and certifide ref with the old RPGA system. I think that a single Al-Qadim book would go very well. well that my request.

Given the new 4E campaign setting model, (Campaign Guide, Player's Guide, Intro Adventure, and that's it), I might actually buy Al-Qadim, even if I never play it. I have no idea whether or not it fits into the 4E Realms though.

Al-Qadim will not be included in the FR campaign setting, it may be released as a stand alone setting, as will Maztica.

Could you explain why, for us Realms-noobs? I don't doubt you, Bel; I'm just curious.

I'm hoping it will be divorced from FR; there really wasn't any need to for Zakhara to be connected to FR other than try and ride the FR popularity at the time. However, I think AEG is going to beat WotC to the punch with the Burning Sands campaign world (and I've been real impressed with the Deadlands/L5R/7th Sea worlds they and brother Pinnacle have put out in the past).

And if we're lucky, Maztica will never see the light of day again, and a far better Mezo-america setting will be put out instead.

one thing I would like to see are annual updates to campaign settings. I know the probably won't print them, but maybe on DDi. (If it ever get's working)
