Looks fun! Sadly, before I invest in the game I'm going to see if mire are in the pipeline. I've learned with Wizards to not get comfortable with a product line- it can get canned.

Then again- buying the game will be a drop of water in the ocean of support but important nonetheless.

I am going to buy it. It isn't a roleplaying game, but taken for what it is (a board game) it can be a ton of fun. I bought Castle Ravenloft, and I LOVE it. This promises to be more of the same. And, the minis in the game can double as minis for my D&D games.

Castle Ravenstone is very fun. I will have to buy the Wrath to see how well it meshes. I hope this line survives long enough for 2 or 3 more sets.

I wonder why it was delayed for 3 months? Speculation is that perhaps they knew the product line in early 2011 would be smaller. Pure speculation.

Peter Lee did an awesome job picking out the minis for this game! Now....the Nerath Board Game. He told us he designed the minis himself for that game.

I'm reading Dungeon 156, "Rescue at Rivenroar", this game uses the pictures of the "captives" from that.
At first I thought it was just a board-game version of that adventure.

This is based on "The Gates of Firestorm Peak," which was an early 1st edition adventure, if I recall. Dragon Mountain came quite a bit later, during 2E's day.

I think your timeline is a bit mixed up. Wiki seems to think that Gates of Firestorm peak came out in 1996, while Dragon Mountain came out in 1993. Both were AD&D 2nd ed.

Here's some trivia for you. I seem to remember one of the developers at Blizzard saying that Blackrock Mountain from WoW was inspired by Firestorm Peak. He said it was one of his favorite D&D modules. If I find a link to the interview I'll post it.

I hope that that the actual rules book is more "complete." I felt like Ravenloft's was incomplete and that I had to read forums to get all of the rules I needed to play. I really like all the minis that come with the games though...so I will pick it up in the end.
