.NET 3.5SP1 Woes - Downloaded from the Wizards Community, all coding removed by Solauren

#1 susannymn Mar 09, 2009 2:34:33	Hello, For a couple months now I've been trying unsuccessfully to get .NET 3.5SP1 to work on my Vista 64 system, and to no avail. I've made my experiences known in other posts (see "CB Beta Requires .NET 3.5 SP1"), at which point and time the determination was made that I was more or less SOL. I'm hoping with the passing months and skill of other more technical minds than my own, a solution to my problem has been located, and so I am turning to you the board to help me install this thing once and for all. 'K, the recap: I'm not even talking about the Character Builder, I'm talkin' .NET install. I go to the Microsoft Download website, get the install, and run it. Agree to the terms and conditions, let it download the files. Then, half way through the install, "An error occurred during setup". The error reads as follows, every single time: Description: Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 has encountered a problem during setup. Setup did not complete correctly.
