I'm just curious, I didn't think taxes applied since your located in another state and have no physical locations in Mass that I know of. Anyone else notice taxes getting charged? |

I'm just curious, I didn't think taxes applied since your located in another state and have no physical locations in Mass that I know of. Anyone else notice taxes getting charged? Companies don't charge taxes because they want a little extra money, they do so because federal or state laws require them to. So it's your state charging a taxes, not WoTC. Sales tax used to not apply to companies that do mail order, when they don't have a physical presence in that state. But DDI is a service, and not quite the same as buying say, a Book online. But a digital asset isn't the same. Since you don't have a physical product, so some states have ruled that a website gives a presence in the state, and there fore, can tax that service. |

Also, you should know MA is upping the tax from 5% to 6.125% as of August 1st. Which means you'll be paying $10.56 then. |

Unfortunately, there is nothing that WotC can do about it. |

No company or business "charges" sales tax. They collect it, as they are legally bound to, on behalf of municipal and state governments. |
