I am sorry as you probably have had this question more than one time, but since the search-function will only show me blank pages i have to start another thread:

Was/is/will there be a free trial period of 10 days, as promised in the book's advertisements? Obviously i am not speaking of the timely unlimited trial which will only give access to the demo versions...

Thanks!

There isn't one, it's one of the casualties of the DDI fiasco. Right now your free trial consists of demo versions of the character builder and compendium and those issues of Dragon and Dungeon that were free for the first few months.

So you still sort of get a free trial, just not the one that you might have expected. Then again, most of the advertised software isn't out either. I would assume that if the Game Table ever comes out there will be a real 10 day free trial, but for now what they're providing should suffice.

There is no longer any "10-day" trial, as Guivre said.

What you do get as a form of "trial" though, is:

The Magazines:
Dragon 364-367 (plus the Barbarian playtest in 368).
Dungeon 155-159.

The Character Builder for levels 1-3.

The Compendium with very limited functionality. You can search for things, and it will tell you some very basic information like what book something is originally from, and what the price is:

It is, perhaps, more accurate to say that you get the equivalent of a 120-day free trial of the magazines (four issues of each), the demo version of the Compendium, and the demo version of the Character Builder.
