Step 2: Click on the Shop tab, then on the Gold piece tab in the lower right hand corner, then click "Level-Appropriate" Result: Receive 12000 gp. Expected: Receive 13000 gp (= price of 12th level item). The other levels seem correct, so this might have just been a typo, too many 12s and 13s floating around right at that level.
