Might as well kill 2 birds with 1 stone. As a new guy, and about to play with some new guys as well. I was wondering what would be some good adventures to use. You know, not too hard but still really fun to do.

And is there a way to play D&D online? Not the MMO game, but a 3rd party application?

Question 1 - Go here and have the GM download the free adventures there. (ignore the very 1st link on the page).

Question 2 - Nothing official from WOTC but there are 3rd party programs people do use to meetup and play online.

Some popular online map programs.

Maptool (can be found at www.rptools.net I think)
FantasyGrounds II (www.fantasygrounds.com/)

There are others that are out there, but I don't know of them.

A google search for Virtual Tabletop should get you started in the right direction. You might also check in the Digital D&D forum, a couple of forums down from here.
