| #1totemenschDec 01, 2010 12:42:28 | Apologies ahead of time. This is the adventure Twisting halls from the Red Box. I think it turned out pretty well considering the limited number of tiles currently in the Beta. I zoomed out to try and give an idea as to the size of the mapping surface. I removed the player panel on the left and minimized the die roller and right panel.![]() Large image This is the same shot just zoomed in a bit. ![]() Large image This last one I zoomed in on a room that has both private DM notes and Public notes. The difference is the blue one is DM only and the tan/brown one is public. I will try to get a shot up of what they look like when moused over. ![]() Large image If you have questions or want to see something specific let me know and I'll see what I can do about getting an answer or a screen shot for you. | #4totemenschDec 02, 2010 9:25:39 | From what I have been able to figure out playing with it you actually have to left click the box and open it. You then have a scroll bar so you can read the rest of it. The mouse over window only stays up for a few seconds, I think it is more of a preview type thing, then click the note to see it all. |
| #5DMapleDec 02, 2010 9:29:14 | Thanks for the swift response, on those maps everything looks visible, I've heard about making parts of maps invisible, can you make a screen shot to demonstrate that in action, from the DM's perspective? |
| #6totemenschDec 02, 2010 9:32:39 | Yeah, let me jump in to the table. I wish there was a way to get a player perspective of it but as the DM of the adventure I can't do that. Give me a bit and I'll get a shot of that, and the look of a token when it is made invisible. Joe |
| #7DMapleDec 02, 2010 9:35:28 | I've just noticed next to hobgoblin 5 you seem to have manually edited and alcove, was that done by using the drawing tool over an existing tile, to mask out the bits you didn't want shown? Also what to the various blue/red and black rectangles (some circles) represent in your map? |
| #8totemenschDec 02, 2010 9:39:36 | Here is a shot with a couple of rooms marked as not visible. Notice the one token that seems to have lines on it, that one has been marked invisible. What I don't know yet is whether or not he is visible to players in the initiative tracker. |
| #9totemenschDec 02, 2010 12:17:31 | Ok so sadly hidden/invisible tokens are given away in the initiative order. Joe |
| #10DMapleDec 02, 2010 12:25:56 | I suppose that is fair enough, once players know about something that later goes invisible for example, you want to be able to hide it, but it should still show in the tracker. How do you add things to the tracker since there appear to be a number of counters there that aren't in the tracker yet. Could you just not add the invisible creature until it's first attack? |
| #11dracomax1981Dec 02, 2010 12:30:31 | I'm pretty sure that if you don't add them into the tracker, they don't automatically load. It's a pain, but you could always have them move where you would put them in the init order, and only add them once the PCs know there's someone else there... |
| #12Darth_JerrodDec 02, 2010 16:35:42 | Thought I would share the AoE Burst screenshot I took. I put a note on the table that is public, when you click on that note it opens it up as you can see with what the note details. |
| #13Darth_JerrodDec 02, 2010 16:40:58 | I'm pretty sure that if you don't add them into the tracker, they don't automatically load. It is possible as this screen shows. ![]() |
