#1 pintpo Sep 07, 2010 23:44:13	Hi all, I new to the D&D world...studying up in effort to one day run my own campaign and I have the following: Monster Manual, Core Rulebook III Dungeon Master's Guide, Core Rulebook II Players Handbook V 3.5 Do these "jive"? I know there a ton of versions of most of the books out there, hoping those three will work together.  Thanks in advance!
#2 salla Sep 08, 2010 10:43:56	If I'm reading right, you have the 3.0 version of the MM and DMG, and 3.5 ('revised') version of the PHB.  There may be a few discrepancies here and there, but for the most part they should be compatible. #4 domd Sep 10, 2010 5:58:52	If they're all 3.5 you actually don't have the right books. Monster Manual III should be fine, since you just need any monster compendium. However, Dungeon Master Guide II has very different information and does not serve the function of a core book. You should try to find the Dungeon Master's Guide 3.5. All your books are version 3.5 though, so no issue there. And the most important book of all is the Player's Handbook, which you have. You'll come quite far with just that.

Um actually it says that he has Core rulebook III and II and that is Dungeon masters guide 1 and monster manual 1. And no you dont really need anything else than that. You can, but you dont really need to. My biggest complaint about additional v3.5 books is that it was all a big heap of extra spells, feats and new classes. It was mostly no order to the chaos. But that does not stop the content from the books of being good. Short answer, yes they "Jive" quite well even.
