i signed up for a month of dnd insider yesterday to try it out. i have been curious about the tools and wanted to use this opportunity to test them and see if i wanted to buy a year. after i bought my subscription, nothing happened, nothing was working. so i waited about an hour and called customer support. the guy on the other end told me my bank had released the funds for the sub, and they were just waiting for it to process on their end. he said if it wasnt working within an hour or two to call back. well it wasnt working 2 hours later still. so i checked these forums to see if anyone else was having the same problem. found multiple threads with this problem and a few answers saying it can take up to 24 hours. ok thats annoying but no big deal. i can wait. so i log back in today and still no dnd insider. i call customer service again and the woman on the phone tells me completely different information! she says my bank has not released the money to them and i should call the bank, not them. i informed her that on my online bank statement it shows the transaction taking place. she then immediately changed her story saying "oh, oh yeah, it was released, but it wasnt released and it will take 2 to 3 more business days."

first of, what does it was released but it wasnt released mean? maybe i misunderstood her, i dont know. but 2 to 3 more business days for my account!? so i might not get it till monday? that is just plain ridiculous! when i buy something physical online it doesnt even take that long to get to me! so far in this evaluation subscription i paid for, i am extremely disappointed. when i asked the support rep if there was any way we could speed it along, she just said she would send off an email to WoTC. great, so how long is it gonna take for them to get back to me?

i've been a big supporter of WoTC. large chunks of my paychecks have gone into their products, but this is a really bad way to do business, and i am already questioning if i want to fork over anymore money into dnd insider

I will poke someone at WotC to see if they can look into the situation and see what is going on.

thank you. i just got off the phone with my bank and they said they authorized the transaction yesterday at 2pm and are just waiting for WoTC to take the money. so the service rep who said it was my banks fault was wrong

Hey there therabbit1984. Sorry that you got a run around with the Digital River side of things. I passed this off to Wotc_Chuck over on our side of CS and he fixed up the issue. You should have access now. Sorry again for the wait on that - let me know if you have any other issues.

I was about to post in the thread saying that the problem has been fixed, but WotC_Trevor has stolen my thunder.
