4e DDI beginning to wind down?

Does anyone else get the feeling that 4e DDI is beginning to wind down? I've noticed a few things lately that lead me to this conclusion:

- 4e forums were collapsed into smaller groups. All of DDI is now just one forum group.
- Dragon and Dungeon containing a lot more system neutral articles
- Dragon and Dungeon stripped down to the barest minimum of crunchy 4e content
- Latest Dungeon articles are missing monster stat blocks
- VT lacking any significant updates
- Bugs going unfixed in the DDI tools

lastly...
- rapid decline in forum posts regarding these issues. 4e forums are a ghostland compared to what they were prior to 5e's announcement.

Individually they don't represent a major shift from what we've seen in the last 12 months, but altogether I feel like there's been a sea change in how DDI is operating. My gut feeling is that 4e DDI is operating on the bare minimum of resources that is required to maintain their customer base. I'd be willing to bet that by the end of 2012, DDI will be shifting over to pre-5e model where 4e material is minimized and the focus is on playtesting 5e material.

Thoughts?

I don't see anything you described that hasn't either been going on for quite a while or been planned for/discussed a long time ago.  I don't see any major shift or sea change.  IOW, no, I don't get the feeling that 4e DDI is winding down.

the forum thing was supposed to happen like forever ago, they have been discussing it for over a year, and i for one like it a lot better

also on the like-it-better note, the 4e forums are no longer filled with pathfinder trolls posting endless sales figure threads, they are all in the next forums so that is a good thing

the magazines have been on a downward trajectory for years; well over a year ago a guy was posting graphs etc about the content so in all honesty i think they were getting that way before the even put essentials out

the vt is a touchy subject with me, they have adding functionality and taken it away simultaneously. they will not share info with us even on the private 'vt sage' forums. im sure they will add 5e in as an option but i will be royally pod if they cut 4e functions. it seems stupid for them to spend all that time and money just to shut it down though

bugs going unfixed, sheesh look at the old monster builder! they have always had unfixed bugs, they have always made claims that never happen(like the old 4e sheet going into the cb), they always ignore and even SHUT DOWN threads about missing content (see hybrid ninjas) and they always will. i dont think that has anything to do with 4e; if you think all of a sudden 5es tools will be a perfect DM suite youre going to be very disappointed. very very disappointed. all the guys talking about tablets and stuff? please, keep dreaming

it would be nice to be able to blame all of this on 4e ending but i think the truth is much more depressing. that said they would be fools not to take 4e players' money, and it is certainly not the case that every 4e subscriber is all of a sudden going to drop everything for 5e
