I can now actually do things in the Online Character Builder without spontaneous/intermittent crashes of the application.  So, I can also now assess the thing to some degree.  Cutting to the chase, what's really needed, from my own point of view, is for the software developers to add in all the wonderful features that many of us have grown to depend on from the old (offline) builder. That and make it offline. That'd be nigh-perfect.

The ability to save on one's hard drive and have an offline viewer for those files.

This is the best option to expect, and I don't have high hopes for it. The move to silverlight may have ment that the Cloud Mist is the only expected option for any file saving.

Well, until there's an export feature or they provide character sheets that are more usable, it's definitely NOT worth spending any more time playing with it (Except as a beta tester, of course Wink)

My verdict:  Sadly, we have no up-to-date Character Builder at this time (at least for THIS D&D Insider).  Frown
