| #1sefotronJan 28, 2009 4:30:15 | (I've uninstalled and installed everything I am supposed to have and have checked I'm not doing anything / not doing anything I need to on the sticky thread). When I try to update the new Character Builder, I am told my login details are incorrect....only they aint! I'm running it through Windows Vista Basic. |
| #2sefotronJan 28, 2009 4:31:45 | Ah...now it's telling me the server is down for maintenance...probably that then ;) |
| #3sefotronJan 28, 2009 4:39:06 | Just for the sake of being accurate - it's gone back to telling me my login details are incorrect. Grr. |
| #4The_ArchitectJan 28, 2009 15:43:33 | Sefotron Have you tried logging in to the wizards web site with the same email address and password to ensure it is working there? If it is logging in, go to one of the bonus tools and see if it gives you access or asks you to subscribe. If the error is that we think you are not subscribed but you have purchased a valid DDI subscriptions, call CS and they can quickly rectify the issue. |
| #5sefotronJan 28, 2009 16:03:57 | No problems logging into the site. I Contacted CS and they suggested that I had not uninstalled the beta properly. I was sure I had, but just in case purged all traces of the Character Builder from my system. Rebooted. Re-Installed...no change. ![]() |
| #6The_ArchitectJan 28, 2009 16:42:54 | Just to ensure I have accurate information, after you log in to the site, if you go to this link: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/insider/encountertool are you asked to subscribe or do you have a functioning encounter builder tool? |
| #7sefotronJan 29, 2009 5:49:56 | It's sorted...and I feel pretty stupid...As my username I was entering...well, my Username instead of my email address. In other words, I was actually entering the wrong info. Begin the mocking ![]() By the way Customer Services were brilliant; quick to reply and very clear with their instructions. 100% impressed (and the Character Builder rocks too) :D |
