"The update server could not be accessed"

Hi.


I just finished subscribing to DDI and downloading the character builder and adventure tools.


When i launch either program, it searches for an update, doesn't find one and says the program is up to date, however it also says "The update server could not be accessed".


In the character builder, the Launch Character Builder option then becomes enabled


-but-


In the adventure tools, the Launch Adventure Tools button does -not- become enabled.


I'm assuming this is because the client still wants me to log into DDI, but because the server is not being accessed, I am unable to.


I have disabled my firewall, and it didnt solve my problem.


Any help?! I need the monster builder to prep for tomorrow night's game! ;)

You have to send a message to CS and they will then fix it for you. I had to do this when I subscribed. Alternatively you could try waiting 24 hours and it should work then as your membership will be processed by then.
