#1 BoneManPress Feb 07, 2009 14:07:31	As a paying subscriber and user, I feel entitled to make these observations. I hope someone important is reading this... #1. There is NO Index for the Compendium... HELLO !!! No Index ? #2. When I am logged into the compendium, I have it on my laptop during a game, but after 30 or so minutes, the session times out and I have to close the window, reopen it and lose my place and back button history. The game grinds to a halt if we're trying to look something up. That is REALLY Annoying, PLEASE Make the Compendium Session time out several hours at least... (we usually play 8 hour DnD sessions). #3. The D20 SRD is really half-a$$ed. Why did you stop working on this, why would you post something in this condition ? UNACCEPTABLE.

HELLO !!! No Index ? The Compendium is one giant index. Type in what you are looking for, and it brings it up. Unless you are looking for a line by line listing of everything that is in the Compendium. I think that would be so large as to be useless. #2. The game grinds to a halt if we're trying to look something up. That is REALLY Annoying, This is a known issue that is on their short list to change. In the meantime, there are a couple of ways around this: 1 - Set up Firefox to reload a Digital insider page every 15 minutes. That will keep you logged in to the Compendium. 2 - Down in Technical Issues, a poster has written a Greasemonkey script that will keep you logged into the Compendium.

If this is the SRD that I think you're talking about then heres what I have to say: Its for 3.5 It isn't a part of DDi It was posted YEARS ago. It was/is an incredible tool for 3.5 It got some minor updates but has since not seen any other upgrades It was a TOTALLY ACCEPTABLE piece and wasn't 'half-a$$ed' in any way. (This one is of my own opinion). With this said... Why are you using The compendium (a 4e product) AND the SRD (a 3.5 product)? Oh, your first two issues are issues I share your opinions on. Apparently wizards will fix them whenever they see fit. We've been trying to get them to change it for months now.
#5 kouk Feb 07, 2009 19:06:07	If your Compendium opens in a new window, and you leave another window open for the D&D page, you can refresh your login there and after a second or two 'Refresh' the Compendium's window, and that should count you as logged in again in the Compendium. That keeps all your tabs and such open.
