| #1KM.549Oct 15, 2010 21:24:42 | In another post I said that I feel the people that subscribe to DDi are investing there money to WOTC to help make more tools for DDi. So you are not subscribers, you are investors. WOTC said that money for subs would help go into making more tools for DDi, basically making the product better using other peoples money. But WOTC is not saying anything on what new tools are being made. I think its illegal for a company not to disclose where investors money is going. Just saying. |

| #4MockOct 15, 2010 22:06:20 | There isn't the slightest connection between the two, KM. This dog won't hunt. |

I wasn't going to respond to you in that particular thread as quite honestly you had already cemented in my mind the reason you frequent the forums, and it just wasn't worth my time to respond...but: WOTC has never Once said the money from DDI was going to fund new tools. I say that as a subscriber, a follower, and someone who obessively reads all he can about the WotC staff.
It really depends on a lot of factors. For instance if the company is rendering a future service for the investment its not technically legal, it will be fairly rare for investors to not be kept abreast but...well it happens. But then, you can't invest in WotC its a wholly owned subsidiary of Hasbro. Since its not part of Hasbro's mainline (like the star wars action figures are) Hasbro has no obligations to reveal where the money of WotC goes, furthermore there is some grey areas as far insider trading goes that if they were to reveal a good deal of their financials about WotC they could land in legal hot water over. |
| #8NyarlathotepOct 16, 2010 14:06:35 | WOTC is no more required to tell me something about new tools because I am a subscriber than McDonalds is required to to tell me about new products because I order the occasional Big Mac. Customer <> Investor. |
