#1 Malckuss Sep 12, 2009 16:09:52	So I was thinking, Why couldn't Wizards put some stop-gap setting material for fans of Dragonlance and such in Dragon and dungeon magazines? They've already done material for the Scales of War and have articles for both PoL, the Realsm and Eberron. A few race articles, articles on using the Knights, the lances, and the Towers of High sorcery, ect, and that would molify those fans. Just a thought.
#2 Dragon9 Sep 12, 2009 20:07:18	Pitch it to them and write it.  Maybe no one has pitched it to them yet.  Maybe they feel they'd rather add support for settings that are out there now.  Could be a million reasons why they don't.  But if you feel you have the writing chops to give a whirl, go for it.
#3 Orcboss Sep 13, 2009 12:21:54	It would probably tick just as many people off as it made happy, but I think it would be a neat experiment to make a campaing setting that was all online/DDI material.  A combination of its own wiki, ebooks, compendium info, and stuff like that.  Dragonlance is probably too big of one to gamble with, but I think it could work from someone with WotC's resources.
#4 Duke5150 Sep 13, 2009 16:01:05	I wouldn't be suprised to see DL related info in dragon next year. If they actually do take submissions, I know a few people I'm going to have to pester to start submitting. We need DL experts on this matter!
#5 Malckuss Sep 14, 2009 4:12:47	I don'y want to write it; hell, I don't even like playing in the Dragonlance setting. My crew all wanna play through the books; I read that story, I hated it. I want to play my own story. But these are my friends, so I would like it if WotC would throw them a bone. Whomever writes these proposed articles should be a fan, and an expert on the setting. Thay should cover things that are difficult to do or need a little tweaking to be able to fit into 4th ed. Take the knights of Solomnia. A knight of the Crown can easily be done with the fighter, maybe with a specific Paragon Path to really sell it. A knight of the Sword could probably be done with the Paladin, and a Rose knight would be, IMO, a cleric with several feats to deck him out like knight. But what about someone who wants to move up threw the ranks, from Crown to Rose? I think halflings could just have the name Kinder slapped on them with a write up for hoopak, and be done, but I'm sure a purist would argue. So like a said, someone who loves the setting should write it. I would just tell you to carve your square peg until it fit the round hole.
#6 frozenferret Sep 17, 2009 19:35:15	Seeing some attention given to the setting ( well basically any at all ) would make me really happy- Its a fans slant on things , but I tell you; sometimes I think DL is the setting WOtC wishes would just go away
#7 GhostStepper Sep 22, 2009 15:59:58	DL articles would probably just upset more people because the space would have gone to articles for DS, FR or Eberron otherwise. Personally, Id much rather they actually put out articles for DS than a setting that may never see the light of day.
