#1 morik1 Jan 26, 2010 19:26:48	I am using a razor shield and a crag hammer. The problem is I am only getting the misc bonus to ac and not the magic bonus.  If shield is a arm slot why can I only equip it in the off hand slot? Than when I look at the cha sheet it it does not show equip?  My ac is 10+1/2 level +7 for scale+2magic on scale+2 misc for shield but not +2 for magic on shield.  how do I fix this? The other problem I have is Does the cragehammer require a feat to use? and if so where do I take that feat to make it work?
#2 salla Jan 26, 2010 19:59:48	There is no such thing as a +X Shield.  A light shield gets you +1 to AC and Reflex, a heavy shield gets you +2 to AC and Reflex.  That's it. A shield is not an arm slot item.  A shield is a shield, an arm slot item is an arm slot item; however, you cannot benefit from a magical shield and a magical arm slot item at the same time.  If your shield were nonmagical, you could equip a magical arm slot item. Craghammers are superior weapons, and require a feat to be proficient in.  Weapon Proficiency (craghammer) and Dwarven Weapons Training (if applicable) are the ways to get that proficiency.
