| #1ratchetsgJun 02, 2010 4:26:21 | Hi, my rogue recently took "Acolyte of the Veil" and along with that a skill training in acrobatics. However CB now tells me my PC is houseruled as I have taken handspring assualt (which requires training in acrobatics). |

| #3ratchetsgJun 02, 2010 11:06:16 | At lvl 1 I took handsrping assualt and was trained in acrobatics. At lvl 2 I took AotV and because it gave training in either stealth or acrobatics, and as I was already trained in both, I retrained acrobatics for athletics, then took acrobatics training as part of the AotV feat. Does this still classify as houseruled? |

| #5UndrhilJun 26, 2010 19:57:17 | Also, when you take a feat which grants you training in a skill which you are already trained in, you cannot retrain that skill in order to get a new free skill training. I suppose you are using the "retrain 1 skill, feat or power at level up" rule to do the retrain? As per the retraining rules in the PHB, you cannot retrain something which is being used as a prerequisite. So, since Acrobatics is a prerequisite for Handspring Assault, you cannot retrain Acrobatics anyway. This isn't a retraining bug. Retrain Stealth instead .. which you can't do because it came with the class. |
| #6Kaviyd3Jun 27, 2010 0:06:02 | The only workaround I have been able to find is the following: 1) Select something other than Handspring Assault as your 1st level daily power. 2) For your initial skills, do not select Acrobatics. Do select whatever you planned to retrain your original selection of Acrobatics to. 3) For your 2nd level feat, select Acolyte of the Veil. Then select Acrobatics as the bonus skill training granted by this feat. 4) For your 2nd level retraining, replace the 1st level daily power from step 1 with Handspring Assault. The resulting character should be what you want, with the only problem being that it doesn't accurately reflect your actual abilities at 1st level. |
| #7rachwededJun 28, 2010 5:02:18 | i am having a similar issue the Char B is no longer showing the rogue as having stealth and thievery so when i use the m/c feat to get acrobatics it shows as no longer being trained in stealth which all rogues get auto? |
