As if the Character Creator wasn't addictive enough. Just wanted to say thanks for putting this out, it's very fun to fiddle with.

This is a "me too" post. I love it. If the equivalent had been available for 3.5E I'm sure we wouldn't have needed a new edition.

Good job, WotC.

This is, for me as a DM, much more useful than the CB. I'm not super-interested in making characters ad nauseam. But I've already created 7 different "monsters" which are just the ranks/types of guards in Fallcrest.

It made it easy to create thematic powers for all the guards, search/find monsters/powers appropriate to each guard's role - had 7 custom-made monsters with interlocking powers and tailored roles, including differently leveled variants, in less than 2 hours.

I know huh? Made two completely new, form scratch monsters, and now fiddling with existing monsters to create all my encounters. Copied as rich text, added to a two column word doc, fiddled with the sizing so I can print out multiple monsters on the same sheet.

This totally rocks! Easy, and fun.

Place me squarely in the "love it" column as well. Being able to adjust creatures to any level so that it works with my story is greatly appreciated.

Cool doesn't even begin to describe it. I love this. I've made 5 monsters based on a single purpose, and adjusted one to my needs. Very easy and very fun.

I do think the DM tools should be available to everyone, only because then it might make dming more common. Then again, it would be taking away from the stuff we pay for. Still, I'd pay for them to make more dms available.

This is really cool.  It would be nice to have a tutorial on making good monsters.  An article or something that pops up and helps when you ask for it step by step. Not a how too, as the program is simple and elegant enough for that but rather something tht helps get a richer experience from the tool itself.

Very happy with the new changes to the BETA.  I see a lot of improvement and can't wait to see what the final version will be like.

Latest update seems to have wiped custom monsters clean of all descriptions, someone here have that not happen?

Was a great feature til it proved to me semi worthless sure...

I'm a big fan of the monster builder but i cant help feel a lack of structure. I'd like some sort of tutorial thread that advises me on how to make good well balanced monsters. when i increase a monster's level i wana know what stats are changing and why. I wana know what is balanced and what is broken so when i come up with an original idea i know that its fair. I wana know why when I level up some small fries from 5th level to 15th level their AC is way higher than my players, attack bonuses too? why is this? do my players need better gear? I gave them more money to buy gear with than was appropriate for their level and they still seem weak by comparison. I'm looking for a more structured method to creating original monsters such like character creation is.

Working on making a monster duo. twin priests of demogorgon who are so close they are like the same being in two bodies. like an ettin or demogorgan himself they have two initiatives, attacks that one can use but the other cant and attacks that they share, and they share the same pool of hit points. (they retreat soon after being bloodied, these are minor reoccurring villains) unlike our two headed friends however they don't share the same body and can move about independently of each other. I was even thinking they might have different defenses because I want one to favor sorcery and another to favor melee combat so maybe different roles too. Was hoping i could just make them elite like the ettin and not solo like demogorgon but when i get right down to it I'm never sure the stats are right i wish there was a way i could feel more sure i was doing it right. it would make me feel better when my players moan about how tough the game is...
