Adding Custom Stuff to CB

How can I do this such that it affects my PCs stats?

e.g. I have a PC with a "Star of Valor" item which grants him +5 diplomacy. I can add this as a custom item and make a note of it but it doesn't affect his Diplomacy skill. I can't find a way to make the item give him +5 diplomacy, nor to adjust the Diplomacy Skill by adding +5 to his Misc column. Can I do this?

e.g. I have a PC with a house ruled trait which adds +1 to Will Defense. Is there any way at all I can add this to my PC?

Is there a manual/online help/tuorial for the CB which would tell me how to do this stuff?

Thanks all

All you can do at this point is add the item and the notes. There's no capability for homebrew/houseruled stuff to affect the calculated stats at this point, though mdonais says they're thinking about how to do it.

I haven't tried, but is it possible to add a miscellaneous bonus manually on the character sheet? That might be a stopgap.

I was able to increase my druid's speed from 6 to 7 (well, technically he should get the speed bump, being a primal predator, but that's for the bug report thread).

All I did was click on the total value, and then change the number. I was pleasantly surprised to find a prompt that gave me the option to include why the speed was changed. After that, the 1 extra square appeared in miscellaneous, and my character got the "house ruled" tag.

I'd imagine you could do the same to skills.

Yeah, that worked - thanks.

Although I can't see any place where this custom adjustment and comment is saved in the Character Sheet or builder. Can you give me a hint.

Edit: You seem to be able to edit most stuff this way which is handy. On the down side there is no way to remove them that I can see (other than editting it back to the orginal value). I would be nice to have a "recalc" button to recalculate your character stats that you edit.
