Hi everybody,

I searched the forums but I could not find any clear information about what the other Adventure Tools are going to be and when they will be released. I am not talking about the once announced Game Table, Character Visualizer or Dungeon Mapper/Maker or whatever. I would like to know what I can expect from D&DI in the future (this year, not in 10 years), so I can decide if it is worth to continue to renew my D&DI Subscription or not.

Can anybody help me? Is there a thread about this topic already? I must say that I am really disappointed about the development of the tools so far and it seems I am not the only one.

Bye

some things they wrote about what the adventure tools should give a DM is an easier way to
- make monsters
- make maps
- build encounters

and that's all the information that's out there. no dates, no specifics.

As Whitebaron said, there is very little information available to the public as to what the next Adventure Tool WotC is working on. They have been bitten (hard) before by promising what they cannot deliver, and now they are fairly wary about what they announce is coming down the pipe and when they do it. If the pattern that they used for the Monster Builder is followed, expect an announcement a couple of weeks or a month before the tool ends up going live.

you rather mean, before it ends up going beta. the monster builder is quote long in beta already, and from recent posts here it does not look like it's going to be out of beta anywhere near summer.

That´s right. The Monster Builder is in beta for more than a half year and I would be surprised if they do not raise the charges for D&DI at the end of the Monster Builders beta, just to announce another Beta tool.

Well, I still love the game. But this D&DI development is… (use your imagination)!
