| #1jacklewumpMar 02, 2010 0:07:00 | I had an idea the other day about the Adventure tools...I have all my character sheets on my computer and when I DM I usually print an extra set of sheets for me to look at during the session....and what I would really like is an option for some sort of 'party creator' where you can select a group of created characters (from the char gen)and have the cheat sheet appear on a tile and if you click on it .... it gives the detailed character sheet.....it would make things allot easier for me...and Im sure others as well. |

Encounter Builder (with treasure parcel support) 3. Party organizer (including things from the original post) 4. Mapping software (including dungeon tiles) 5. Online hypertexted versions of the books (compendium is nice, but it's nice to have all the info grouped in one place by theme. Like a book!) |

I personally think that adventure tools should include the following: A way to print out the maps as split separate 8.5x11 sheets would be cool so you could lay them out on the table, It really doesn't need to include the Dungeon tile sets although that would be cool, I can see how that might be a conflict of interest when generating sales for dungeon tiles but at liest something generic. I'va atempted in printing maps from dungeon magazines pdfs by bringing them into photoshop and splitting them manually into 8.5x11 sections and laying them out afterwords. although the resoultion si blurry, My players love it. I would totatally reinstate my subscription to DDI for that! as it is now, I let me subscription laps due to the lack of new content in adventure tools. I need a bit more to keep me interested full time. |

I personally think that adventure tools should include the following: And with the mapping software with dungeon tiles, it can prints a list of the tiles used and what set they come from, and a picture of the tile, and whats on the other side of the tile.
For the Encounter builder, perhaps a list of useful minis to give a proper feel for the fight, and auto Encounter Builder option for adding appropriate monsters when level and type is chosen. The ability to keep track of combat would be useful option also.
Eratta'd Online books would be excellent. |
