I love all of the great adventures. I pull maps, encounters, characters, monsters, plot hooks, and sometimes whole adventures from them.

What's difficult about using them is that there's no way of knowing the level of the adventure without reading the first or sometimes SECOND page of the adventure. What a pain! Is there some reason you guys are being circumspect?

I've relabeled all of my PDF's to include the level of the adventures I've downloaded, and it's way easier to use now. Why not do so online?

I just thought I'd look in here to see if any kind soul out there sorted them out.
I also wonder why they are not made more obvious what level range they are and made easier to look up.

If you click on the sticky "Hidden Gems of Dungeon e-Magazine," you'll find that some kind soul has classified almost all material from all Dungeon magazines, including:

  • Adventures by level with brief overview
  • New Monsters to be found
  • New Skill Challenges
  • New Traps and Hazards
  • New Magic Items
  • New NPCs

And others.

It's not on a real-time basis, but his turnaround from when a new adventure comes out isn't too bad I think.

Agreed. Dungeon adventure should be organized by level. After a year or two of DDI Dungeons, it will be a much worse problem.

I will just repeat what Kouk said.

If you look at the thread here, you will see that Kouk has organized the adventures by level, you just have to expand the spoiler blocks.

Good idea! Level information should definitely be part of the the web page template that the viewer can see before he downloads the PDF. It should also be on the module template, visible on the first page of each module.

The Table of Contents page usually states the levels of the adventures.

If you look at the Table of Contents, the level is given.

It is great that a forum poster has taken the time to do this, but really, it shouldn't be needed.

You have to admit, this is not very useful.

Exactly right! Putting the dungeon Level information ONLY in the Table of Contents section would make sense, if that was the ONLY way to access these the PDF files.

Some people might always access the modules through the Table of Contents, but I suspect a lot of us navigate to them through other methods.

To me, it makes a whole pile of sense to have the Level information included on the splash page where you click a link to download the PDF. And it also makes sense to include this info in the same location at the beginning of each module -- the template for both of those shouldn't be too terribly difficult to modify. And if it makes it easier for your Customers, why not have at it?

Anyway, take the suggestion or ignore it ... it's just a request from a valuable (paying) customer. =)

I agree they certainly could make it much more clear from whichever way you approach the article. It would also make it slightly easier for me to index them.
